An official transcript is issued only at the authorization or written request of the student concerned. A transcript is a complete copy of a student's academic record at the time that it is issued. It contains all course work, including undergraduate, graduate and/or non-degree, taken while enrolled at NC State University. NCSU will NOT issue a partial transcript. The university will automatically send all course work when a transcript is requested.
Transcripts can be ordered online by current students, alumni, and former students of the university.
If you are an alum or former student, order a transcript online via NC State's Online Transcript Order site.
ELECTRONIC (fastest) - When placing your orders online, you can select a paperless option for your official transcript. Many recipients will accept this alternate method of delivery. Once your order has been placed, the recipient is notified by email that they can retrieve a certified PDF from our transcript ordering service. Before placing your order, find out from the recipient whether an electronic transcript is acceptable and if so, the email address you should use for delivery. Please note that this option is not available for those who attended the University prior to Summer 1979.
MAIL - Paper transcripts are mailed using standard delivery through the U.S. Postal Service. You may opt for express shipping when ordering online at an additional cost: $19.95 domestic destinations.
NOTE: Transcripts mailed to international addresses must be sent express, $34.95 international Canada/Mexico and $44.95 for other international destinations.
FAX - There is an additional charge of $5.00 for transcripts faxed from Registration and Records. Registration and Records does not fax transcripts internationally. Requests for faxed transcripts can only be made by faxing or mailing the transcript request form.
By Mail or fax
Mail or fax a completed transcript request form to Registration and Records. Orders must include full payment or credit card information.
